Multilayered abstract painting that is my first piece from the new studio in my new home in Saint Paul MN. Welcome is my note to self - new possibilities.
But three days after arriving, a fire devastated the condo tower we moved into. Fortunately not affecting my unit, but there was extensive fire damage to many others as well as all the common areas. Then a week later, the horrible murder of George Floyd was broadcast and the ensuing overflow of anger and legitimate protest allowed the cover for some others who were intent on vandalism and looting. Fires engulfed many businesses and so became reflected in this piece as well.
