Landscape / from life
On a windy afternoon just as a few trees were beginning to show fall color, I set up my old Russian portable painting easel on the east side of Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis. Many people walking by on the path stopped with an encouraging word. One of the benefits of painting outdoors is the energy that can be shared and captured from random passersby. The autumn clouds were racing by, so some quick brush strokes stopped them on the canvas.
