Landscape / from life
This plein air painting was produced in August, during the Coronavirus pandemic shutdown of 2020, but the fresh air in local parks was a great respite from the general closed-in, stay-at-home social-distancing existence that we all followed (well, many were following). Getting together with a small group of landscape painters in Meadow Park, Minnetonka MN, I was mostly free for a few hours from the oppressive worry that the virus' mysterious and unseen transmission caused. The beauty of this scene and the bright light of a sunny day seemed to give interior light to the small trees and the algae on the surface of the pond.
