I participated in the 2025 Into Nature Plein Air Competition at White Bear Center for the Arts in August, and received the Robert and Pamela Nuffort Best of Show Award for the painting "Summertime Beach Day", a 14"x11" acrylic on canvas, awarded by the juror, Suhaila Insanullah. I was very surprised and honored by the award - surprised especially for an acrylic work to receive this award in a show with so many wonderful oil paintings. But it was truly a joy to be painting those clouds on such a beautiful day in July... it was just one of those "in-the-flow" kind of moments that are rare and precious!
